About Chef Sizzle
Chef Sizzle, also known as Ron Sisler, has been in the Food and Beverage industry for more than 18 years. Holding jobs from fast food to fine dining, his preferred area is resort and convention catering.
While working in some of the greatest convention resorts in Central Florida, Ron was introduced to and fell in love with Garde Manger - cold food preparation. His favorite aspect of food service is plate up and décor. He feels that food should not only taste good, but should look good as well.
In 2005, Chef Ron and his family moved to Metro Atlanta to be closer to his wife’s family. After a brief foray into golf course dining and catering, Chef Ron had a desire to serve his country and joined the United States Navy Reserves. He went through nine weeks of bootcamp and four additional weeks of A-school, graduating top of his class with honors. He is now LS3 with the Reserves’ IRR.
During this hiatus, Chef Ron was not completely out of the F&B business. He freelanced, catering small parties for friends and carving fruits and vegetables for a nationally issued magazine, in the Mix. He has recently chosen to reenter the field. Stay tuned for information on where he lands next.
